Astec’s Customer Schools continues a strong tradition of education, as the recent 2020 program illustrated, with a total of 569 students representing 40 U.S. states, Canada and Latin America in attendance at one of the eight sessions held earlier this year in Chattanooga, TN. It was one of the best attended Advanced Customer Schools since Astec launched the program 40 years ago.
Astec Customer Schools teach hands-on maintenance and advanced troubleshooting techniques to fix problems fast. Instructors include Astec engineers and service technicians with decades of field experience. Astec has established the most well-received training schools in the industry by committing to a student-first approach which integrates lectures and extensive hands-on classes into a thorough curriculum covering all aspects of asphalt mixing plant operation.
“We work hard to make the Astec schools experience the best in the industry,” notes Michael Holbrook, Astec service schools’ administrator. “The response to the schools each year is phenomenal. Available spaces always fill quickly after registration opens. We feel like the industry values what our schools offer.”
