It would be a tough task to find anyone as concerned about customer service as regional parts salesman Adrian Williamson, which works out, because, with a territory spanning quite a bit of the South—concentrated in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma—Adrian has a lot of ground to cover and a lot of customer service to dish out.

With six years under his belt, Adrian considers himself new to Astec—a believable case when he’s surrounded by people who have been at Astec for 10-plus years. Adrian admits he’s still learning all the ins-and-outs of the Astec equipment to best serve his customers. “My customers are always getting the best, even with my limitations of not being in the field for very long. Astec makes sure I have all the resources I need to inform and assist my customers in the field.”

Background In Planning

Before Astec, Adrian was involved in land entitlement work and zone work for attorneys. A background in urban planning helped guide and ensure the orderly development of settlements. This background has also helped him in the field, when discussing building codes and regulations with customers. Adrian spent his first three and a half years at Astec when he lived in Phoenix, Arizona, covering the Southwest territory. Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Adrian gets to visit his hometown when attending the Astec Advanced Customer Schools. There, he can be found talking to his customers and ensuring that their needs are met.

While Adrian may not feel like he’s been with Astec long, he knows he’s in good company. “Astec is a solid company whose equipment is the best in the market,” said Adrian. “When it comes to customer service, Astec is second to none, and I’m proud to be a part of the sales team.”

Adrian embodies what Astec values in its employees: customer dedication and product knowledge. He’s willing to do what it takes to ensure his customers are happy and has, on numerous occasions, gone above and beyond for his customers—like climbing inside a baghouse to measure its fan so he could get the customer a quote on a new replacement. Adrian, like Astec, has put an emphasis on customer service and is making sure he is giving the best of the best.

A Family Man

You can tell a lot about someone by their voice, whether the tone, cadence, or speech rhythm. When speaking with Adrian, you can tell he’s a man who will meet his customers’ needs—no matter what. Both personable and friendly, Adrian is someone you’d expect to be a family man—and a master of customer service. When he’s not traveling and delivering the best care to his customers, Adrian dedicates his time to driving his four children to softball and soccer tournaments around San Antonio, Texas.
