The new Voyager 120 highly portable hot-mix asphalt plant has been bought by a contractor in the south of Poland, WANTA, located in Krakow. The company has won a three-year tender for maintenance and repair of municipal roads in Krakow, Poland. Says Piotr Zebol, owner of WANTA: “We’ve heard about Astec technology before and got familiar with that at the Autostrada show in Kielce in 2015. In a densely populated area with heavy traffic, extremely high portability and good capacity of the plant ensure advantages for the contractor. Unusual for such a portable plant, the ability of Voyager 120 to add up to 30 percent RAP to mixes and to produce warm mixes is going to be one of the cornerstones for WANTA’s efficiency in a highly competitive environment of Polish contractors.”

The plant is being supplied and serviced by a new Astec partner in Poland—Amago; known to Polish customers for many years as a market leader.
